Suicide Prevention Training: Question, Persuade, Refer
I provide a wide range of presentations (e.g., self-esteem and confidence, self-compassion, stress management, organizational skills), often with Rockstar the therapy dog present (upon request) to provide additional stress-relief and self-care to participants. A particularly popular training is in the area of suicide prevention, as I am certified as a QPR Trainer through the QPR (Question Persuade Refer) Institute. This training is a 2 hour training, that teaches participants how to recognize the warning signs of suicidal thinking, how to address the situation, and how to help the person get the resources they’re needing. These skills can be used not only in the organization or classroom, but with loved ones outside. As the amount of people experiencing suicidal thoughts has been increasing, you coming across someone who experiences suicidal thinking is not an “if” but a “when”. I would be honored to help you know how to navigate this situation. More information can be found at https://qprinstitute.com. Please contact me for more information about bringing this or another presentation to your organization.
You can empower both yourself and others.
